Warranty Products
Certified Technicians
All systems provided are in 100% full working order and with our industry leading warranty. The conditions we describe below are only in relation to the cosmetic appearance of our machines. We never supply systems with technical faults unless clearly stated in the condition description. When pricing a system the condition grade is an attributing factor and a reduction of price will be seen on lower grades.
New
Completely new, unopened and unused products with full manufacture warranty and support.
New Opened Box
New opened box are unused products that were either cancelled or unused returns. New unused products do not have any cosmetic damage and still include the full manufacture warranty and support. Essentially they are just like new but priced at a discounted rate from the original price.
Manufacturer Refurbished or Renew (Certified Refurbished)
Manufacturer Refurbished (Certified Refurbished) are products that have been previously returned to a manufacturer for various reasons, for example, from channel returns, cancelled orders, end of life excess or they may have been defective and subsequently repaired. They are put through a rigorous refurbishment and testing process to bring them back to “same as new” in terms of functional quality and performance. Manufacturer Refurbished products are not to be confused with “used” or “second-hand” products. Some products will be cosmetically indistinguishable from new, while others may have light scratches or other minor blemishes. Manufacturer Refurbished products all come with a limited warranty and support direct with the manufacturer – just like when buying new.
Factory Refurbished
Factory refurbished products, like Manufacturer Refurbished, are products that have been previously returned to a manufacturer or third-party vendor for various reasons, for example, from cancelled orders, unsold sold in the market or again they may have been defective and subsequently repaired. They too are put through a rigorous refurbishment and testing process to bring them back to “same as new” in terms of functional quality and performance. Factory Refurbished products may contain used or replaced parts. Some products will be cosmetically pristine, while others may have light scratches or other minor blemishes with signs of wear. Some products are redecorated (repainted). Factory refurbished products all come with a limited warranty and support directly with the manufacturer or Electronics World.
Second User Refurbished
Second User Refurbished products are acquired from and refurbished by third-parties. These are products that have been previously owned and used, returned and refurbished for resale. They may possess some cosmetic blemishes, light damage or signs of wear. Second User Refurbished products all come with the added reassurance of our Electronics World warranty.
Battery Life
During the assessment stage of our system, we use a measure we call the 80% rule. This rule is our boundary for battery replacement. Our technicians look at the full charge capacity of the laptop vs the design capacity as well as cycle count. If this falls below what we regard as less than 80% of the original battery life we fit the system with a brand new battery.
The batteries we supply have at minimum 80% of the original design capacity. Even our oldest systems should provide at least 3+ hours of battery life with general usage.
Please note this is not guaranteed as all users use their laptops in different ways. This figure is an average taken using a wide range of systems.
Our Grades
Excellent Condition
The product is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches or dents.
Systems classified as excellent condition are in the exemplary condition for their model and year. These systems show only very minor signs of use on the external casing. All screens are checked and are free of any inconsistencies or imperfections.
Good Condition
The product is in good condition and is considered expected for its model and year. A few scratches, minor dents or marks which are a sign of normal wear and tear on the case and screen should be expected.
Fair Condition
The product has a cosmetic defect. The defects may be limited to just one large dent or deep scratch alternatively it could consist of numerous minor scratches or marks. These cosmetic defects may include scratches, marks or dents either on the case or screen and because of this we individually photograph all fair condition systems.
If you’re budget conscious a fair condition system can be the ideal solution for those looking to save. We cannot stress enough that the defects are only cosmetic and the systems are completely functional with no damage to the internal components. All fair condition system components are meticulously inspected.
